The most successful IAAF World Athletics Final
In one of the most important IAAF competitions, with almost all international athletics stars on the track, the LAUREL Chief Executive Christos Pallakis was appointed by the Local Organising Committee as the Event Director of the WAF.
Christos Pallakis played a significant role in organising the event in very high standards and also coming to various agreements with the elite of athletes competing at the athletics circuit, like the incomparable sprint sensation Usain Bolt, pole vault superstar Elena Isinbaeva and rarely defeated high jump World Champion, Blanka Vlasic.
As far as crowd's interest is concerned the WAF in Thessaloniki proved to be one of the most successful sports events in Greece's sports history with more than 52.000 spectators piling at the Kaftanzogleio Stadium's terraces in the two days of the event.
