Chris Pallakis is a former Greek national indoor pole vault record holder who represented Greece at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and was ninth at the 1995 World Indoor Championships.
Throughout his life he has been involved in sports and is well-qualified to carry on his involvement in the field in his capacity as CEO of LAUREL.
He studied Sports Marketing and Management in the United States and started his career working in this sector for a number of different sports marketing companies, bringing many new ideas to the sports industry.
The Organising Committee for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens hired him under the General Division of the Human Resources and Administration Services. During the Games he worked at the important position of the HR Manager at the Olympic Stadium for which ATHOC employed more than 4,000 staff members.
Chris has also worked with the Hellenic Amateur Athletics Association and was the Event Director General of the IAAF World Athletics Final in 2009.
